Collection: En La Playa
The En La Playa Collection was inspired by colorful flowers on the dreamy Hawaiian white sand beaches. These pieces are a reminder to breathe in, take a moment to enjoy life and to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. En La Playa means "on the beach" in Spanish, and Pua means flower in Hawaiian. A beautiful mix between both cultures.
The pieces are named in Spanish, Lei en la Playa (Lei on the Beach), and Pua en la Playa (flower on the Beach). These pieces try to capture the shimmer reflected on the sand and the depth of colors in the Hawaiian flowers.
Ana Lucia poured resin coats with pure pigments to cover the piece and try to capture the fluid movements of the vibrant colors within the flowers. Each flower is uniquely detailed with acrylic paint. The colorful strokes of paint give a different essence to each flower.
Resin and acrylic on wood frame.

Please note that the artist tries her best to make each piece as flawless as possible but resin is a medium that makes this very difficult. This piece might have dust particles but it does not take away from the beauty of the piece. Embracing imperfections, this piece was made with love and aloha.
